Hello Lacrosse Players and Coaches,
In preparation for the upcoming high school and youth seasons, Fairfield Women's Lacrosse is running a Developmental Clinic for grades 7-12 Saturday March 13th from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.   Staffed by Hall of Fame and NCAA Regional Coach of the Year Mike Waldvogel, the Fairfield Assistants and the 2009 MAAC Champion Fairfield Stags, the clinic is a great way to shake off some of that winter rust and get out and play lacrosse!
Highlights will include specific GOALIE training and a morning session of skill work followed by small games and scrimmaging in the afternoon.  Please see the attached flyer for full details and the registration form.
All abilities and levels are welcome and we encourage multiple members of the same team to attend to receive our team discount for 7 or more players from the same team.
If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask and we look forward to seeing many of you there.

Head Coach Michael Waldvogel
In 2010 Coach Mike Waldvogel begins his second year as head coach of the Fairfield Stags. Waldvogel has had a distinguished career in lacrosse and was inducted in the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 1996. In 2009 Waldvogel was named MAAC Coach of the Year and the IWLCA Northeast Regional Coach of the Year after taking the Stags to a 17-3 record and first ever NCAA tournament berth.

Coach Waldvogel has coached at the Division I level for over three decades including from 1980-2002 when he was the head coach at Yale University, where he is the winningest coach in program history.

As an undergraduate at Cortland State, Waldvogel was a two-time First Team All-America selection.  He went on to play for the US National Team in 1974 and 1978, before coaching the team in 1990.

Assistant Coach Laura Field
Field came to the Stags in 2009 after having spent the last eight years with the Yale Bulldogs.   In 2008, as interim head coach, Field led Yale to an 11-5 record, and a final national ranking of 16th.  Field is a 2000 graduate of Princeton University and as the starting goalkeeper for the Tigers, she led the squad to the 2000 National Title game, a berth in the quarterfinals in 1999, and a tournament appearance in 1998.
Fairfield Women’s Lacrosse Team
The Fairfield University women's lacrosse team begins 2010 ready to defend its 2009 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championship and make its second appearance in the NCAA tournament.
The Stags are coming off at 17-3 campaign in 2009 and are looking to play their way back into the NCAA tournament in 2010. With a core of steady defenders and offensive threats returning the Stags will look to 2010 to be another history making year.
